Which? test team’ noted that Ignis Hybrid is the only new City car available with optional four-wheel drive and remarked on its five-star reliability score, low fuel consumption, standard fitment of Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) as well as its five-star NCAP safety rating.
Available from £17,349 for the SZ-T 2WD model with manual transmission, a high level of equipment is offered as standard including Dual Camera Brake Support, Lane Departure Warning and Weave Alert, LED Headlights with DRL, air conditioning, sliding rear seats, rear view camera and Smartphone Link Display Audio with Apple Carplay.
Ignis SZ-T and SZ5 models attain 56.9mpg on the WLTP Combined fuel consumption cycle with CO2 emissions of just 112g/km.
Ignis adopts Suzuki’s ALLGRIP ‘AUTO’ four-wheel drive system which is available optionally on the SZ5 model. This is a well proven and simple fully automatic and permanent four-wheel drive layout which transfers additional torque to the rear wheels when required via a viscous coupling.
ALLGRIP is also an ideal choice for customers living in rural areas who may need additional mobility across rougher terrain or for crossing slippery surfaces during winter months without owning a more conventional SUV sized vehicle.
To further enhance the already low cost of ownership of Ignis, two years free servicing is available on new cars registered by the end of June 2023 and a PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) is currently in place with Ignis SZ-T and manual transmission available for just £209 per month over 48 months after a deposit of £4,154 is made. A final payment of £7,164 would be required to keep the car at the end of the agreement.
